If you didn’t know that I started hosting free, fun, interactive learning sessions by way of wedding workshops that take place every other month….you do now!
Back in August 2014, I launched the wedding workshops at my Lenox MA office, and we covered the topic of Guest List & Wedding Invitation Etiquette. Then, in October 2014, I hosted my next workshop about the Do’s & Don’ts of D.I.Y. at Smith College.
Well, this past Sunday, December 7th 2014, my free wedding workshop provided a fun learning experience about Wedding Day Beauty & Attire. Brides-to-be arrived at Crystal Vazquez & Co., greeted by peach mimosas and morning friendly treats. Each bride received a pretty Tiffany blue wedding binder and a gift bag full of goodies. This workshop was a bit smaller in attendance size due to the busy time of year for everyone, but still an impactful and amazing workshop, nonetheless.
Crystal Vazquez and her team provide wedding day hair and makeup services. Crystal provided some helpful advice and information about what to expect, how to prepare and what your hair and makeup stylist need to know. She addressed the importance of attending your trial appointments. Throughout her discussion, one lucky bride-to-be got to receive a free up-do so everyone could see the process.
Once the up-do was done, Ryan from Pearl Bridal Boutique in Holyoke MA talked about different veil styles and some alternative headpieces if you aren’t looking to wear a veil. She demonstrated each veil and headpiece on the up-do bride, so everyone could see the differences, and how it would fall on the
up-do hairstyle. She gave timelines for ordering and what to expect at your fittings.
At the end of the workshop, all the guests got to try on all the different veils and headpieces, and got some quality one on one time with the vendors to get their specific questions answered.
Ryan from Four Wings Photography was on hand and provided, not only the gorgeous and fun photos you see below, but some perspective from a photographer’s standpoint on wedding day beauty & attire. He pointed out the difference professional makeup makes in the finished photos that you’ve invested in.
(By the way, if you haven’t seen his work, you need to make your way over to his website…like now…seriously fun and unique in his style. I LOVE it insanely.)
Enjoy the photos….and then get yourself registered for the next workshop on February 8, 2015, which will focus on decorating and styling your wedding & reception! http://www.tanyacostiganevents.com/events
